The first section of the Nubia Museum's exhibition presents Nubian prehistory. It includes, for example, rock carvings of desert animals carved by early hunters, ostrich eggshells used as water containers, fish- and ostrich-shaped schist palettes for grinding galena ore into powder for eye cosmetics, weapons such as arrow heads and mace heads, very early black-topped pottery, and a collection of stone vessels.
